President’s Message

Michael Robertson
Michael Robertson, Founding President of BCTOA

Training in emergency services has become increasingly demanding over the past ten years. The quality and frequency of training has not always kept up with this demand. One of our many goals for creating the Burlington County Training Officers Association was to develop better training officers and instructors, who will then work to train today’s first responders and tomorrow’s Fire and EMS leaders. Since the formation of the B.C.T.O.A. in September 2012, we have grown our membership continuously and worked to exchange information about training opportunities for first responders in Burlington County.

As a Fire and Ems responder in Burlington County for more than 28 years, I will work hard as the President to grow our association and provide our members with professional development opportunities. I recognize the importance of training in both volunteer and combination Fire and EMS departments in order to retain members and also improve the quality of services that we provide.

We look forward to having you as a member of our association. Take a moment to read our membership section for more information on how to become a part of the B.C.T.O.A. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if we can help you or your department with improving its training division.
